Francisca Berry-Adkins
Floral Designer
“Flowers are not stiff, they are lively, free-moving, and the petals are arched. My arrangements will always have a little movement to mimic that natural pattern. I design architectural, modern installations. Not the florals you’d find in your doctor’s office.”
Originally from Detroit, Francisca began her career as a wedding planner and part-time florist while studying at university. She received a scholarship for Detroit Mercy Law School, however; Francisca chose to pursue a creative career instead. She says having the opportunity to work with her hands has been the most rewarding decision. Her work has been featured in WeddingDay Magazine, MetroDetroit Weddings Magazine, Seen Magazine, and other publications.
Francisca says that her inspiration for design “stems” from working with fresh florals. She strives to create arrangements that look natural and ethereal. Francisca is a mother to the sweetest two-year-old boy (which is a juxtaposition in itself. Anyone who knows toddlers understands that they are equally feisty as they are sweet.)
